COVID 19 Studio Information

March 2020

With the rapid changes to our society due to COVID19, my studio has also made some significant changes to how lessons are done to help stop the spread of the virus. Starting in March of 2020, all lessons went to an online format, this continues to be the preferred means of meeting currently but in person lessons are accommodated for pianists if desired. Online lessons are done via FaceTime, Skpe, or Zoom. Over the past year I have invested a significant sum in upgrading computer equipment, and purchasing cameras and microphones to make the online lessons as smooth and successful as possible.  To date, things have  been going extremely well and students have been able to continue their learning and exam preparations with minimal interruption. New students have been able to start their studies with great success.

Fall 2021 Update

I am now offering piano lessons in person for those interested. I still highly recommend online lessons for young children and beginners as this provides me with many more teaching tools that in person allows for. In person lessons are done physically distanced, with masks worn properly the entire time. These lessons are also shortened by 5 minutes to accommodate a proper cleaning of the room. Singer remain online or outside for their lessons.

Online lessons will remain a permanent offering of my studio and will be used for inclement weather and any sickness in a student's home as well as for those students who are out of town.

January 2022

Please note ALL lessons have moved online for the month of January. I will continue to update if this move lasts longer. Thank you for your support and patience as we navigate these crazy days!

February 2022

In person lessons have resumed for those that wish to learn in person. All public health mandates are being followed with no exceptions.

April 2022

In persons lessons as well as online lessons will remain options for all students. Masks continue to be required for in person lessons. Social distancing is also maintained during lessons. If anyone in your household has COVID or symptoms of COVID I require those lessons to move online.

June 2022

Masking is no longer required for lessons. I continue to ask that any student who shows any sign of illness move their lesson online for that week. I appreciate your help with this.

September 2022

Masks are not required to attend a lesson however student are not to come to an in person lesson while ill with new or developing symptoms. Those lessons must move online or via video link.

September 2023

We are back to the rules that were in place prior to Covid arriving. If you're sick with new or worsening symptoms, please don't come to your lesson as you may be asked to leave. Our lesson can easily move online for that week or alternatively a private YouTube lesson will be sent to you.

As things change I will be updating this page as well as my Facebook page for you to check in on for current information.
